On Tuesday October 7th, NYPD arrested two
people protesting two years of genocide outside
of the Israeli consulate. Over twelve cops
swarmed our protest and grabbed them for no
reason. This “catch and release” tactic has been
used by police to scare and silence people
standing with Palestine. They hit you with bullshit
charges and expect you to take a deal saying you’ll
stay out of trouble. We say fuck that.
Genocide abroad and targeted repression against
anybody daring to speak out here in the US have
come to define the last two years in this brutal
empire. We are fighting the charges to show that
we don’t have to back down in the face of
repression. Instead, we can meet that repression
with more resistance and put the system on trial.
