Update on the Bogus Charges Against protesters arrested on Oct 7

NYC | October 27, 2025

On Tuesday, October 7th outside the Israeli Consulate, two people were arrested protesting two years of genocide in Gaza. Over 12 cops swarmed our protest and grabbed them for no reason. This “catch and release” tactic is used by police to scare and silence people standing with Palestine. They hit you with bullshit accusations and expect you to take a deal saying you’ll stay out of trouble.

Today, at court, we found out the charges against one protester were never actually filed.

The empire wants to keep up its invincible image, but the NYPD can’t even keep their paperwork straight.

While one protester’s charges never made it into the system, a second protester’s charges are still on the record:

He was offered a plea deal, but made the courageous decision to fight his charges in court. We’re asking the people of NYC to show up and support his right to protest.

Be there. Bring friends.

Let’s show the court that they can’t sweep our right to free speech under the rug.

We continue to demand that all charges against the remaining defendant be dropped and that the body camera footage from October 7th be released.

Because despite what they want us to believe, today’s court appearance shows us that we don’t have to bow to a system that criminalizes dissent while letting those complicit in genocide walk free.

Join us in standing with Palestine and with those brave enough to put their bodies on the line. Together, we can expose and resist the U.S.-Israel war machine. Show up to the defendant’s trial date and show your support for those standing up against the system.

We stand with Palestine!

It is right to rebel against genocide!

Call the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to fight for our right to resist genocide!
