A translation guide from Behind Enemy Lines.

For weeks it has been clear that Chicago and Illinois political leaders are utterly failing at standing up the ICE-Gestapo. On Friday alone, a new “Unified Command”, made up of phalanxes of Illinois State Police, Cook County Sheriffs, Broadview Police, and Northern Illinois Police stood in defense of the ICE-Gestapo, and Illinois State Police literally were shoulder to shoulder with the ICE-Gestapo in brutally attacking protesters, including clergy. Those arrested were held for hours inside of the ICE facility without charges or access to a lawyer.

What were the State Police protecting? A full scale campaign of harassment and kidnapping throughout the region: with Nazi-Barbie Kristi Noem personally supervising the invasion of Wall-Mart parking lot, ICE-Gestapo throwing tear gas outside of a grocery store, and an Alderperson being handcuffed in a hospital.

This has caused many people to reasonably ask: where are Chicago’s progressive and anti-Trump elected officials, who constantly denounce the ICE invasion and the further threat of troop deployments? To help answer those questions, Behind Enemy Lines has prepared the following translation guide:

When Governor JB Pritzker says,

“The members of the Unified Command are trained in crowd control and how to create an environment where people can peacefully express their First Amendment Rights.”

What he means is,

The Illinois State Police want their opportunity to brutalize protesters on behalf of the ICE-Gestapo, and we’re going to make sure they get that opportunity.

When Governor JB Pritzker says,

“The Unified Command will prioritize public safety above all else, and take steps to safeguard the First Amendment rights of the public.”

What he means is,

We’re going to secure an area near the Brodview black site for politicians and grifter influencers to take their selfies, while making sure that we arrest anyone who actually attempts to disrupt the operation of the ICE-Gestapo.

When Governor JB Pritzker says,

Kristi Noem “should no longer be able to step foot” in Illinois without accountability “for the Trump Administration’s gross misconduct”

What he means is,

I will make sure that the State Police are brutalizing protesters shoulder to shoulder with Kriti Noem’s ICE-Gestapo inside of investigating the abuse inside the Broadview ICE facility.

When Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul says (speaking of Illinois sanctuary TRUST Act),

“In accordance with the TRUST Act, the purpose of the activities conducted by the unified command is to maintain public safety and the ability to lawfully exercise First Amendment rights – not to engage in federal immigration enforcement.”

What he means is,

The TRUST act and Illinois Sanctuary status is all political smoke and mirrors, we are more than happy to deploy the Illinois State Police to defend the ICE-Gestapo.

When Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says,

“I’m going to use every single tool that is at my disposal to protect the people of this city.”

What he means is,

I will do my best to restrict protest to business-as-usual, and do nothing to use the power of the city of Chicago to defend migratns from the ICE-Gestapo.
