Just days after Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson gave a boisterous speech, calling for a “general strike” against the Trump government, the ICE-Gestapo went on another rampage through the suburb of Cicero and Chicago Latino Little Village neighborhood. While regular Chicagoans were kidnapped and terrorized by the ICE-Gestapo, the response from Brandon Johnson’s CPD was the same as it has been every day of the ICE occupation: aid and abet ICE and do nothing to protect the people of Chicago. Just the way that Brandon ordered them to.

Meanwhile, hours after the ICE-Gestapo attack in Little Village, protesters gathered for the National Day of Protest Against Police Brutality, organized by Dare to Struggle. That protest, which included family members of those killed by the police, was attacked by CPD in an entirely unprovoked assault of free expression. Brandon Johnson can talk until his face is blue about the dangers of the Trump government, but the reality on the ground is that the police under his leadership collaborate with the ICE-Gestapo, and arrest protesters demanding justice.
