Yesterday, 20 people were murdered at Nasser Hospital in Gaza by a double-tap drone strike, including five journalists and medical personnel. Facing near immediate backlash from the international community, Netanyahu commented and referred to the deaths of the journalists and medical staff as a “tragic mishap”. There is no mishap. It is not a mishap to target journalists. It is not a mishap to target hospitals. It is not a mishap to annihilate civilians.

This is another day of empire.

For 323 days, the US-Israel war machine has strategically plotted a path forward to carry out genocide in Gaza. For those 323 days, people in the US have had a choice: To stand with the people of the world or to side with empire. But for those of us who stand with Palestine, we’ve fallen short of our goal. So we must ask ourselves, what will it take to put an end to these horrors? What will it actually take to end the bombings, to end the forced starvation, and to finally end the genocide?

It’s time to fight back.

We call on those who hate the bombings, who hate the genocide, who hate US imperialism — and we call on all who stand with the people of the world: Join us, October 7 to escalate for Gaza.

Routine protests aren’t cutting it. Be creative, we need defiant actions all across the country to ensure there is no business as usual. Join us in Chicago, in NYC, or take up this call wherever you are. It is our duty to reject our allegiance to the US empire and stand with the people of Gaza and the people of the world against US imperialism!
